Inchgower Distillery, founded by Alexander Wilson in 1871 as a successor to his Tochineal Distillery, is strategically located just south of Buckie in Scotland’s prestigious Speyside whisky region. Situated near the historic Inchgower Coaching Inn, the distillery benefits from its prime location on the mill lead, which channels pure, soft spring water from the Burn of Buckie to the Mill of Buckie, ensuring the highest quality water for whisky production. Additionally, Inchgower’s convenient proximity to the road leading to Buckie Harbour and the Buckie Railway Station facilitated efficient transportation and distribution of its spirits. In 1966, the distillery significantly expanded its production capacity by increasing its stills from two to four, enhancing its ability to meet the growing demand for high-quality whisky.
