Stewed fruit aromas with notes of polish lead to cinnamon. Sweet and drying with flavours of cherry, orange peel and subtle coffee. A medium and fruity finish with lingering aniseed and sherry.

Glenury Royal
Glenury Royal Distillery, established in 1825 just north of Stonehaven in Scotland’s esteemed Highland whisky region, holds a prestigious place in Scottish whisky history. In 1835, it became one of only three distilleries in Scotland granted the exclusive right to use "Royal" in its title by King William IV, underscoring its esteemed reputation. Originally a malt whisky distillery, Glenury Royal operated with two stills from its inception until 1965, when it expanded to four stills to meet growing demand. Despite its success, the distillery closed in 1985 and was subsequently demolished in 1993, leaving only the square support base of its distinctive round brick chimney with a commemorative plaque. Today, the former distillery site has been transformed into a private housing estate on the outskirts of Stonehaven, marking the end of an era for this lost Scottish Highland malt whisky distillery. Glenury Royal Distillery remains a celebrated chapter in Scotland’s rich whisky heritage, remembered for its royal endorsement and significant contributions to the Highland whisky landscape.
