Glenugie Distillery was established in 1831 as Invernettie Distillery and renamed Glenugie in 1837 then substantially rebuilt with local red granite in 1875. Glenugie Distillery was situated just south of Peterhead in Scotland’s Highland whisky region and produced malt whisky for blending. Closed in 1983 and the few remaining warehouses have been converted to workshops.
