Glentauchers Distillery Company, founded in 1897 by W.P. Lowrie, a Glasgow-based whisky blender, and James Buchanan, a London-based blender, established the historic Glentauchers Distillery in Mulben, Banffshire, within Scotland’s renowned Speyside whisky region. Commencing distillation in 1898, the distillery was equipped with six stills, positioning it as a significant producer of Speyside single malt whisky.
