Glenmorangie the Tayne Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Double matured in Amontillado Manzanillasherry casks.
Glenmorangie malt whisky Distillery was established in 1843 by William Matheson at Morangie Farm where distilling had been practiced as early as 1703. Glenmorangie is situated on the shore of the Dornoch Firth at Tain in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Tall gin stills were installed rather than shorter whisky stills when the distillery was established and so Glenmorangie has ten of the tallest whisky stills in Scotland standing 5.14m tall. Glenmorangie Distillery has a visitor centre which offers distillery tours.
Nose: A unique harmony of deep, spicy Sherry cask notes, and unusually fragrant, floral topnotes of rose petals and roast chestnuts.
Palate: A warming texture leading into rich, sweet flavours of toffee, Muscovado sugar, and tropical fruits - peaches, mango and orange.
