Tasting Notes

Nose: Plush raisin loaf, blossom honey and orange zest rise over vanilla fudge, polished oak and a dusting of cinnamon. Palate: Silky floods of fig jam, treacle toffee and sweet malt coat the tongue, chased by clove-spiked chocolate, roasted hazelnut and a bright flash of candied citrus peel. Finish: Medium-long, warming and gently dry—lingering PX-soaked fruitcake, soft oak spice and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
Indulge in orchard-sweet Speyside cloaked in sherry decadence with Glenlossie 16 Year Old – 2008 Vintage, Alistair Walker “Infrequent Flyers” (Cask #9096).
Distilled in the shadow of Elgin and laid down in a single Pedro Ximénez-seasoned hogshead, this malt spent sixteen years soaking up waves of sticky raisin syrup, milk-chocolate cream and warm spice before being drawn at natural cask strength in March 2025. Bottled non-chill-filtered and natural in colour, just 354 bottles unveil Glenlossie’s floral-fruit elegance wrapped in sumptuous PX opulence—another rare flight from the Infrequent Flyers hangar.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Full-term maturation in a Pedro Ximénez hogshead saturates Glenlossie’s orchard-fruit core with decadent dried-fruit richness and sweet spice.

  • 16 years balance youthful Speyside vibrancy with layered sherry complexity.

  • Bottled at natural cask strength (non-chill-filtered, natural colour) for undiluted texture, aroma and intensity.

  • Part of Alistair Walker’s coveted “Infrequent Flyers” series—strictly 354 bottles, perfect for collectors and sherried-malt aficionados seeking a unique single-cask experience.

Pour a dram of this limited Glenlossie and savour an irresistible fusion of honeyed fruit, luxuriant PX depth and Speyside finesse—an unforgettable whisky that soars long after the final sip.

The Distillery

Glenlossie
Glenlossie Distillery, founded by John Duff in 1876 on the western outskirts of Fogwatt in Scotland’s renowned Speyside whisky region, has a storied legacy in the world of single malt Scotch whisky. In 1896, a private rail line was inaugurated to connect Glenlossie with two neighboring distilleries, facilitating the efficient movement of goods and providing seamless access to the Morayshire Railway, which enabled swift distribution to global markets. Equipped with six stills, Glenlossie produces a light, elegant malt whisky that plays a pivotal role in crafting a diverse range of Diageo’s blended Scotch whiskies. While official distillery bottlings are limited, Glenlossie’s exceptional single malts are highly sought after through independent bottlers such as Signatory Vintage and the Connoisseurs Choice range, offering whisky enthusiasts and collectors exclusive access to its distinctive expressions. Glenlossie Distillery continues to uphold its tradition of quality and craftsmanship, making it a respected name within the competitive Speyside whiskylandscape and a favorite among those seeking refined and versatile Scotch whiskies.
