The Distillery

Glengoyne
Glengoyne Distillery, originally established as Burnfoot of Drumgoyne Distillery in 1833 by George Connel within Scotland’s renowned Highland whisky region, strategically positioned its warehouses across the road in the Lowland region. Renamed Glengoyne in 1905, the distillery expanded its production capacity in the mid-1960s by increasing its stills from two to three. Renowned for its traditional method of drying all malted barley with hot air, Glengoyne exclusively produces unpeated single malt Scotch whisky, delivering a smooth and rich flavor profile that distinguishes it from its peat-heavy counterparts. The whisky undergoes meticulous maturation in a diverse selection of sherry and bourbon casks, as well as Japanese and Scottish oak casks, enhancing its complexity and depth. Glengoyne offers an impressive range of distillery releases, including the highly acclaimed Glengoyne 10 Year Old, the sophisticated Glengoyne 21 Year Old, and the luxurious Glengoyne 25 Year Old, each exemplifying the distillery’s unwavering commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Whether enjoyed neat or as part of a refined blend, Glengoyne Distilleryremains a premier destination for whisky enthusiasts and connoisseurs seeking premium single malt Scotch whiskies with exceptional character and elegance.
