Glendronach Distillery, founded in 1826 by James Allardice northeast of Huntly in Scotland’s esteemed Highland whisky region, is renowned for its commitment to traditional whisky-making methods and exceptional single malts. Although the malting floors ceased operations in 1996, Glendronach remained the last Scottish distillery to heat its stills directly with flames from a coal-fired furnace until it adapted to new regulations in 2005. The distillery boasts a picturesque setup featuring a traditional cask iron mash tun, wooden washbacks, and four copper stills, all contributing to its distinctive character. Famous for producing richly sherried single malt Scotch whisky, Glendronach offers celebrated expressions such as the Glendronach 21 Year Old Parliament and exclusive single cask releases.
