This Glencadam 43 Year Old 1972 is an ultra-aged Highland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Signatory Vintage for their prestigious Cask Strength & Rare Reserve Collection. Distilled in 1972 and matured in a single hogshead (#7820) for over four decades, it was bottled at natural cask strength in December 2015, yielding just 95 individually numbered bottles. Presented non-chill filtered and with natural colour, this is a truly rare and refined expression from the historic Brechin-based distillery.

Tasting Notes

Nose Elegant and complex with aromas of antique furniture, dried pineapple, honeysuckle, and beeswax, supported by delicate hints of tea leaf and citrus oil. Palate Silky and layered, unveiling ripe apricot, marzipan, light oak spice, and demerara sugar, with a touch of tropical fruit and heather honey. Finish Long, mellow and intricate with waves of aged oak, fruitcake, and soft herbal spice lingering on the tongue.
