Palate: Powerful, silky layers of treacle toffee, dark-chocolate truffle and sweet malt coat the tongue, followed by clove-spiked caramel, roasted hazelnut and a bright flash of candied citrus zest. Finish: Long, warming and gently dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, supple oak spice and a final flourish of vanilla-malt sweetness.
