Tasting Notes

Detect on the nose a wonderful blend of sweet spices - crushed nutshells - sweet barley with late honey and a distinct citrus toning. Palatewise it is zesty, roundly spiced carrying a homebaking style plus a grapey quality - now crushed sugar and toffee (with maybe just a hint of salt?) All that runs to an attractively orange finish which carries also vanilla, mocha and more spices, running to a tail end of drifting smoke.

The Distillery

Glen Grant Distillery, founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, experienced such success that Glen Grant No. 2 was constructed across the road in 1897 to meet soaring demand for its Speyside malt whisky.
