Tasting Notes
Nose: Bags of Sherry - sweet sultanas interlaced with a whisper of smoke. A slight herbal note (light) - almost floral. A wonderful nose! Taste: Smoky, freshly ground coffee, lovely sweet Sherry notes develop and explode in the corners of the mouth. A slight spicy note adds another dimension. A mix of sumptuous flavours

The Distillery
Glen Grant
Glen Grant Distillery, founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, experienced such success that Glen Grant No. 2 was constructed across the road in 1897 to meet soaring demand for its Speyside malt whisky. Situated in Rothes and equipped with eight stills plus an on-site bottling plant, Glen Grant remains a cornerstone of Scottish whisky craftsmanship. Visitors can explore a meticulously maintained Victorian garden—created during the late 19th century—nestled in the valley behind the distillery. Over the years, Gordon & MacPhail has released exceptional vintage single malts from Glen Grant, including rarities dating back to the 1950s, underscoring the distillery’s enduring legacy and timeless appeal.
