Step back into the golden age of Speyside distilling with the Glen Grant 47 Year Old 1965 vintage, bottled in 2013 by Gordon & MacPhail. This exceptional single malt was laid down in refill Sherry butts and American oak hogsheads in 1965, developing profound complexity over nearly five decades of slow maturation. A rare and dignified expression of Glen Grant’s refined spirit, drawn and bottled with traditional care by one of Scotland’s most revered independent bottlers.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • A remarkable 47-year-old whisky from the historic Glen Grant distillery, one of the oldest working distilleries in Speyside.

  • Matured in a mix of refill Sherry and American oak, allowing the distillery’s elegant orchard fruit character to shine alongside mellowed oak and rich spice.

  • Bottled in 2013 by Gordon & MacPhail, renowned for their stewardship of ultra-aged single malts and meticulous cask selection.

  • Natural colour and non-chill-filtered—capturing the authentic depth, aroma and silky weight of the whisky after nearly half a century in cask.

  • A majestic Speyside malt that delivers a timeless sensory journey, ideal for both collectors and those seeking a once-in-a-lifetime dram.

This 1965 Glen Grant is more than a whisky—it’s a rare and beautifully aged relic of Scotland’s distilling past, brought to life in a glass.

The Distillery

Glen Grant
Glen Grant Distillery, founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant, experienced such success that Glen Grant No. 2 was constructed across the road in 1897 to meet soaring demand for its Speyside malt whisky. Situated in Rothes and equipped with eight stills plus an on-site bottling plant, Glen Grant remains a cornerstone of Scottish whisky craftsmanship. Visitors can explore a meticulously maintained Victorian garden—created during the late 19th century—nestled in the valley behind the distillery. Over the years, Gordon & MacPhail has released exceptional vintage single malts from Glen Grant, including rarities dating back to the 1950s, underscoring the distillery’s enduring legacy and timeless appeal.
