Glen Elgin Distillery, designed by Charles C. Doig and founded in 1898 by William Simpson and James Carle, sits beside the Morayshire Railway in Fogwatt, firmly within Scotland’s Speyside malt whisky heartland. Equipped with six small stills and six round wooden worm tubs, Glen Elgin is among the few remaining distilleries to embrace this traditional cooling method, contributing a distinctive character to its spirit.
