Palate: Silky bursts of treacle toffee, sweet malt and milk-chocolate truffle glide across the tongue, followed by clove-spiced fruitcake and a hint of roasted hazelnut. Finish: Medium-long and warming—lingering sherry-soaked fruit, gentle oak tannin and a final flourish of honeyed malt sweetness.
