Dumbarton
Dumbarton Distillery is a lost Scottish Lowland grain distillery which opened in 1938, closed in 2002 and was demolished in 2008. Situated in Dumbarton and equipped with a Coffey still. Dumbarton whisky flowed into Ballantyne’s blends.
A dark gold whisky with a mellow nose of vanilla custard, creme caramel, and a hint of peaches. On the palate it is smooth with vanilla, red berries and butterscotch. The finish is long, slightly sweet, and with a hint of oak.
