The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a luxurious Highland single malt Scotch whisky, celebrated for its rich, velvety style and elegant wine-cask influence. Initially matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, this refined expression is finished in hand-selected Port pipes from Portugal, adding depth, sweetness, and complexity. The result is a beautifully balanced Dalmore whisky that showcases the distillery’s signature smoothness alongside layers of dark fruit, chocolate, and warming spice.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Finished in Port wine pipes for added richness and depth

  • Showcases Dalmore’s hallmark smooth, luxurious house style

  • Combines dark fruits, chocolate, citrus, and warming spice

  • A versatile Highland single malt ideal for both sipping and gifting

  • Perfect for fans of wine-cask-finished Scotch whisky

The Dalmore Port Wood Reserve is a polished and indulgent single malt, marrying Dalmore’s refined spirit with the sweet, fruity elegance of Port casks. Smooth, approachable, and richly flavoured, it is a superb expression of modern Highland whisky craftsmanship.

The Distillery

Dalmore
Dalmore Distillery, founded by Alexander Mathieson in 1839 on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth near Alness, is a hallmark of Scotland’s Highland whisky region. By 1886, renowned whisky writer Alfred Barnard noted Dalmore’s operation with four stills, which were doubled to eight in 1966. Known for its one-of-a-kind still design, the wash stills feature flat tops while water jackets encircle the necks of the four spirit stills, contributing to the distillery’s distinct character. While Dalmore’s official range—including the 12 Year Old, 15 Year Old, and 18 Year Old—is highly sought after, independent bottlers also occasionally release single cask expressions, ensuring enthusiasts worldwide can savor the unique allure of Dalmore single malt Scotch whisky.
