Alexander Mathieson established Dalmore Distillery in 1839 on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth near Alness in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Dalmore stills are unique, the wash stills have flat tops and water jackets encircle the necks of the four spirit stills. Visitors are welcomed at Dalmore malt whisky Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available. A participant in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.
Nose: Opens with a fudge character – developing to red fruits & vanilla cheesecake.
Palate: Delicate with marzipan, a gentle oakiness, lemon meringue pie & creamy toffee.
Finish: More citrus fruits coming through with cereal & spices.
