Delve into the savory side of Speyside with Dailuaine 16 Year Old 2008, part of the Infrequent Flyers lineup and drawn from a single Pedro Ximénez Hogshead (#131). Bottled in November 2024 at a limited outturn of 293 bottles, this expression masterfully fuses Dailuaine’s meaty, robust spirit with the velvety sweetness of PX sherry. The Distillery

Dailuaine
Dailuaine Distillery, founded in 1851 by William Mackenzie at Carron in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region, gained historical significance in 1889 when Charles C. Doig was commissioned to design a revolutionary pagoda roof for its malt kiln—the first of its kind, now a symbol of traditional malt whisky distilleries worldwide. Although Doig’s original design was destroyed in a 1917 fire, Dailuaine continues to produce distinctive single malt Scotch whisky, offering both a 16 Year Old expression and special releases, alongside an array of independent bottlings that remain popular with whisky enthusiasts seeking a taste of Speyside heritage.
