A resurrection of 'Lady Luck' a long forgotten whisky made of very old and young Islay malt whisky. This new release from Compass Box is a vatting of two cask of Caol Ila (25 & 29 year old) and one cask of 14 year old from the lost Imperial distillery. Blended Malt is a mixture of two or more Single Malt Scotch Whiskies which have been distilled at more than one distillery. Because Scotland’s whisky blenders are able to standardise the colour, strength and taste in their blends their customers are assured of consistency in a product which may be marketed over a number of years. Formally known as a Vatted Malt. Deeply smoky, with ethereal fruity character in the background. Extremely complex on the palate. Structured, balanced and very, very long on the palate.
