Tasting Notes
Tasting Notes
Nose: The nose evokes barley sugar, freshly sliced Pink Lady apples, lemon citrus and classic floral and scented candle notes from this Brora based distillery. Palate: Initially soft, mouth coating and gentle until a woody spice and sweetness intensifies after a few seconds. It is like a traditional apple barley brew served from a rustic wooden pitcher. Flavours of salted caramel, and melted butter were also plentiful due to the oily nature of this whisky. Finish: The well-known oily body of Clynelish lingers on the palate, holding the woody spice notes for some time.
