Distilled in 1990 and matured for 30 years in a single hogshead (#TWB1025), this exceptional expression was bottled in 2021, with just 285 individually numbered bottles released.

Crafted at Bunnahabhain Distillery, this long-aged single cask showcases the distillery’s signature unpeated style—elegant, maritime, and richly complex. This exclusive release commemorates the historic Artemis Program, marking the anticipated return of astronauts to the Moon for the first time since the Apollo 17 mission. Inspired by the Orion spacecraft’s journey from the Kennedy Space Center, this “First Launch Edition” captures a moment of exploration and ambition.

The Distillery

Bunnahabhain Distillery, founded in 1881 on the northeastern tip of the Isle of Islay, sits by Bunnahabhain Bay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Originally constructed with materials ferried by puffer and unloaded at the distillery pier, it’s now tucked away at the end of a single-track road with spectacular coastal views. Equipped with four large, pear-shaped stills, Bunnahabhain produces Scottish malt whisky for both blends and single malt or single caskbottlings.
