Tasting Notes from TWB. Rich dried fruits, such as raisins and figs, mingle with nutty notes of almonds and hazelnuts. There's a deep complexity with hints of oak spice and dark chocolate. The sherry influence is pronounced, offering a velvety mouthfeel and layers of sweetness, balanced by a touch of coastal brininess. The finish is long and satisfying, with lingering flavors of dried fruit, caramel, and a gentle warmth reminiscent of a coastal bonfire.

Bunnahabhain Distillery, founded in 1881 on the northeastern tip of the Isle of Islay, sits by Bunnahabhain Bay, overlooking the Sound of Islay. Originally constructed with materials ferried by puffer and unloaded at the distillery pier, it’s now tucked away at the end of a single-track road with spectacular coastal views.
