Bruichladdich (Lochindaal) 12 Year Old 2009 The Single Cask is a rare and highly collectible Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by The Single Cask. Distilled in 2009 at Bruichladdich Distillery and matured for 12 years in a single first fill bourbon barrel (#76), this exceptional expression was bottled in September 2021, with just 229 individually numbered bottles released.
Lochindaal is a heavily peated style (around 50ppm) produced at Bruichladdich between 2007 and 2009, with only around 250 casks believed to have been filled—making it one of the distillery’s rarest and most intriguing peated experiments. First fill bourbon maturation enhances the spirit with layers of vanilla, citrus, and sweet oak, balancing the bold peat smoke and maritime character.
