Twenty year old blend of 100 specially selected casks in celebration of the 100th birthday of Janet Sheed Roberts on the 13th August 2001; Granddaughter of William Grant and who now lives at Hazelwood House.
The 2001 bottles released were only available to William Grant employees and family members.
Kininvie Distillery is situated close to the River Fiddich in Scotland’s Speyside whisky region and opened in 1990 to meet the ever-increasing demand for William Grant’s blends of scotch whisky. Kininvie is rather unusual since its mash tun and washbacks reside in a neighbouring distillery and thereby Kininve Distillery consists of a still house containing nine stills. Kininvie malt whisky is released under the name Hazelwood and the first official bottling of Kininvie Distillery single malt whisky was released in 2006 to celebrate of the 105th birthday of Mrs Janet Sheed Roberts, granddaughter of William Grant. The only other official bottlings are limited edition produced to celebrate her 107th birthday in 2008 and her 110th birthday in August 2011.
