Nose: Fresh mint and tropical fruit aromas with a subtle malty note. A floral edge develops with a trace of walnuts. Taste: Black cracked pepper initially with peach and kiwi flavours. A sweet fudge edge lingers.
Bladnoch 1993 Connoisseurs Choice (2016) is a rare Lowland single malt Scotch whisky distilled at the historic Bladnoch Distillery in 1993. Hand-selected and matured in a combination of refill Sherry hogsheads and refill American hogsheads, this elegant whisky was bottled in 2016 by Gordon & MacPhail for their renowned Connoisseurs Choice range. Bottled at 46% ABV, unchillfiltered and at natural colour, it showcases the gentle character of Bladnoch enhanced by a refined cask influence.

Bladnoch
Bladnoch Distillery, founded in 1817 by brothers John and Thomas McClelland, is a historic Lowlands single malt whisky distillery located on the northern bank of the River Bladnoch, near Bladnoch Bridge and just upstream from Wigtown in southwest Scotland. Equipped with two small stills, this intimate operation has experienced multiple closures over the years, most recently in 2009, but is undergoing extensive refurbishment with a re-opening planned for late 2016. Known for producing distinctive Lowlands single malt, Bladnoch whiskies are also available through independent bottlers, including Gordon & MacPhail and the Old Malt Cask range from Hunter Laing, ensuring continued interest in this storied distillery’s unique contributions to Scottish whisky heritage.
