Bottle Information
Tasting Notes
Benrinnes 14 Year Old 2012 Adelphi Selection is a rich and characterful Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Adelphi Selection. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in 2026, this 14 year old release was drawn from single refill Oloroso sherry butt #300165, yielding just 542 bottles at a powerful 58.3% ABV. Benrinnes is known for its weighty, robust and slightly meaty Speyside style, making it particularly well suited to sherry cask maturation. The refill Oloroso butt adds layers of dried fruit, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warming spice while allowing the distillery’s underlying maltiness and fruit-driven character to remain clearly defined. Bottled from a single cask at high strength, this Adelphi release offers an expressive and well-balanced interpretation of Benrinnes. The refill cask brings depth and maturity without overwhelming the spirit, creating a whisky with excellent structure, rich sherry influence and plenty of distillery character.
