TWB Tasting Notes:
Nose: A lush bouquet of dried fruits—figs, dates, and blackcurrants—meets a generous swirl of caramelized brown sugar and treacle. Beneath these indulgent layers lie subtler notes of toasted nuts, old leather, and polished oak furniture, with a gentle whisper of espresso beans lending further depth.
Palate: Bold, mouth-coating, and luxuriously sweet. Initial impressions of fruitcake, plum jam, and chocolate fudge are complemented by spicy waves of cinnamon, clove, and hints of candied ginger. A distinct malty core gives the dram structure, balancing the dessert-like richness with a pleasing earthy undertone.
Finish: Long, warming, and deeply satisfying. The sweetness gradually tapers into a delicate dryness, accentuated by cocoa nibs, roasted walnuts, and a touch of tobacco leaf. A lingering touch of sherried fruit and gentle oak spice ensures the memory of each sip endures well beyond the last.
