Nose: Thick raisin syrup, toffee apple and orange peel surge forth, wrapped in polished oak, roasted walnut and a wisp of earthy smoke.
Palate: A velvety rush of treacle pudding, fig jam and chewy malt coats the tongue, followed by clove-spiked chocolate, dark espresso and a flicker of salty liquorice.
Finish: Long, warming and gently dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, mellow oak spice and a final flourish of nutty cacao.
