Nose: Billows of black-cherry compôte, violet and sea-spray mingle with raisin loaf, cocoa powder and a whisper of cracked pepper. Palate: Silky floods of toffee cream, malt loaf and blackcurrant jam coat the tongue, chased by clove-spiked chocolate, balsamic glaze and a bright lift of candied citrus peel. Finish: Long, warming and gently drying—lingering cherry liqueur, soft oak spice and a final flourish of mineral peat smoke.

The Distillery

Ben Nevis Distillery is an iconic Highland malt whisky producer established by John McDonald in 1825 at Inverlochy, just north of Fort William, and situated at the foot of Ben Nevis—Scotland’s highest mountain.
