Initial sweetness of caramel and toffee gives way to dried fruits, such as figs and raisins. Mid-palate reveals layers of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and a touch of black pepper. Finish: Long and warming, with lingering notes of spiced oak, vanilla, and a hint of leather. A touch of dried fruit sweetness remains on the palate, inviting another sip.
