Banff 46 Year Old 1976 Private Collection (2023) is an exceptionally rare Highland single malt Scotch whisky from the lost Banff Distillery, closed in 1983. Distilled on 26th October 1976, this venerable spirit matured for over four decades in a single refill Sherry butt (#2887) before being bottled on 3rd February 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail for the prestigious Private Collection – Lost Distilleries Recollection Series #2. Only 109 hand-blown crystal decanters were produced, making it a profoundly scarce and historically significant release.
