Arran The Millennium Casks Island single malt Scotch whisky. Mix of 35 ex-Bourbon Barrels and 10 ex-Sherry Hogsheads each filled at the turn of the new millennium on 31st December 1999 and 1st January 2000. Limited Edition of 7,800 bottles. Arran  Arran Distillery was commissioned by the Isle of Arran Distillers in 1995 to produce Arran malt whisky. Arran Distillery is situated just south of Lochranza on the northern tip of the Isle of Arran off the west coast of Scotland. Set in a stunning location between mountains and sea Arran is a small distillery is equipped with two stills, dunnage warehouses, a visitor centre offering distillery tours and a distillery café. Arran malt whisky is matured in sherry, bourbon, port and wine casks in order to produce an ever-evolving and expanding range of whiskies including Arran single malts and Arran blended scotch. The Sleeping Warrior release comprises Arran single malt whisky matured in both European and American oak casks. Arran Machrie Moor is a peated expression of Arran malt whisky. Nose: The nose is vibrant and zesty with an edge of spice. Palate: Candied citrus captures your tongue immediately taking you back to the hallmarks of Arran with orchard fruits and baked apples. A sprinkling of vanilla and cinnamon adds a layer of sweet spice and oak to the initial fruity character. A splash of water opens it up beautifully, exposing the layers of creaminess in this unique dram. Finish: Clean and fresh with a hint of spice, this classic Arran lingers delicately. Notes of mandarins and grapefruit mingle beautifully with the last twist of toasted oak promising another perfectly balanced sip.
