Ardmore 12 Year Old 2013 Signatory 100-Proof Edition #74 is a robust Highland single malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Signatory Vintage for its acclaimed 100-Proof series. Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2026, this 12 year old release was matured in second-fill Islay bourbon barrels previously used for Laphroaig, and bottled at the series’ signature strength of 57.1% ABV.
Ardmore is renowned for its gently peated Highland style, combining earthy smoke, honeyed malt and citrus with a subtle mineral edge. The use of ex-Laphroaig Islay bourbon barrels adds another layer of smoky, coastal character, bringing hints of sea spray, medicinal peat and charred oak while preserving Ardmore’s underlying malt sweetness.
The result is a particularly distinctive take on Ardmore, where Highland peat meets the residual influence of one of Islay’s most famous smoky malts. At 57.1% ABV, the whisky has excellent weight and intensity, delivering plenty of smoke, citrus, vanilla and coastal character without losing balance.
