Tasting Notes

Nose: Billows of kiln smoke and sea-spray mingle with lime zest, vanilla pod, toasted marshmallow and a hint of medicinal peat. Palate: An explosive rush of charcoal embers, briny toffee and liquorice root floods the tongue, chased by creamy vanilla fudge, cracked black pepper and a bright flash of grapefruit peel. Finish: Long, smouldering and lightly drying—lingering camp-fire ash, salted caramel and a final flourish of charred-oak spice.
Capture pure, cask-fresh Islay power with Ardbeg 10 Year Old – 1999 Vintage, Single Cask #1924. Filled into a first-fill bourbon barrel on 12 March 1999 and nurtured in Warehouse 2, the whisky was drawn at natural cask strength in March 2010. Each of the 222 individually numbered bottles was hand-signed by Ardbeg’s distillery manager, preserving the distillery’s trademark tarry peat wrapped in creamy vanilla, toasted coconut and zesty citrus at peak ten-year vibrancy.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Single first-fill bourbon barrel (#1924) layers creamy vanilla, coconut and vibrant citrus onto Ardbeg’s maritime peat.

  • Bottled at natural cask strength, non-chill-filtered and natural colour—undiluted Islay intensity.

  • 10 years capture Ardbeg’s spirit at full youthful vigour while showcasing refined bourbon-cask sweetness.

  • Strictly 222 bottles, each hand-signed by the distillery manager—a coveted single-cask collectible for Ardbeg aficionados.

Pour a dram of Cask #1924 and savour an exhilarating union of coastal peat, vanilla-cream richness and citrus brightness—an unforgettable whisky that blazes from first nosing to lingering ember.
