Aberfeldy 1995 vintage Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Matured in Refill Remade Hogsheads casks #2488, #2489 & #2491 bottled January 2014 by Gordon & MacPahil for the Cask Strength series. Aberfeldy
Aberfeldy Distillery was established by the dynamic brothers John and Tommy Dewar in 1896 in Scotland’s Highland whisky region in order to guarantee a supply of quality Scottish malt whisky for Dewar’s range of blended scotch. Aberfeldy Distillery is situated in the heart of the Perthshire countryside where clear, highland water was supplied by the Pitilie Burn which flows right by the distillery, and from 1825 until 1867 had powered the water wheel at Pitilie Distillery just a little upstream. Aberfeldy’s malt barns have been converted to house Dewar’s World of Whisky visitor centre where tours of Aberfeldy Distillery are available to distillery visitors. Nose: Subtle Sherry influences with stewed apple, toasted malt and floral notes. Taste: On the palate, chilli spice initially with ripe banana, lemon and red apple. A lingering charred oak edge lingers.

Aberfeldy
Brothers John and Tommy Dewar established Aberfeldy Distillery in 1896 and commenced distilling there two years later in order to guarantee a supply of quality Scottish malt whisky for their John Dewar & Sons range of blended scotch. Aberfeldy is a Highland malt whisky distillery situated in the heart of the Perthshire countryside and these days produces malt whisky for its Aberfeldy 12 Year to Aberfeldy 21 Year Old range of single malts. This Highland malt whisky distiller’s four copper stills produce both un-peated and mildly peated whisky. Aberfeldy’s old malt barns house Dewar’s World of Whisky visitor centre.
