The Whisky Barrel specialises in shipping liquor to the USA. We can ship your own bottles of Scotch, whiskey, spirits or wine from the United Kingdom to your United States address in most states* usually within 14 working days.

Maybe you want to send that special gift or ship a valuable sale to a client in the United States of America, or have you bought too many bottles of whisky while on vacation for your hold luggage and don't want the hassle of border control at the airport? Great news, we can handle the logistics for you! Simply drop-off* OR ship your bottles to our warehouse in Fife. We take care of the rest.

Our service includes FDA (Food and Drug Administration) clearance and US Customs liquor duties paid on your behalf (we complete the customs procedure when your consignment arrives in the USA) and delivery to your door in our specialist glass packaging. You won't have to pay anything else.

Terms & Conditions - USA Private Shipping Service

These Terms & Conditions apply to customers using The Whisky Barrel’s private shipping service for deliveries to the United States. By placing an order, you agree to the following:

1. Licensed Shipping

All orders are dispatched from our fully licensed liquor warehouse in Scotland. Shipments made using our private shipping service include customs clearance and delivery direct to your door in the USA.

2. Duties, Taxes & Tariffs

All U.S. import duties, tariffs and local state taxes are included in the shipping price quoted.

There are no additional customs charges to pay upon delivery.

3. Delivery & Tracking

Orders are securely packed to industry standards for international transit.

Tracking details will be provided once your order has cleared U.S. Border Control.

Estimated delivery times are given in good faith but may vary due to customs checks, carrier delays, or local holidays outside our control.

4. Age Restriction

An adult aged 21 years or older must be present to receive delivery.

By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

The recipient may be asked to provide age verification at the time of delivery.

5. Shipping Restrictions

Certain U.S. states have restrictions on direct alcohol shipments. These may change at short notice based on guidance from our brokers.

If restrictions apply, we will notify you and advise on alternative arrangements.

We do not ship to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

6. Breakages, Insurance & Liability

Shipments may be covered by our approved insurance at an additional cost.

We are not liable for any loss, including the service charge paid, if your consignment is damaged or lost in transit unless you have purchased our approved insurance.

We are not liable for any leakages in transit, which are considered a product failure.

In the event of a valid insurance claim, photographic evidence of damage or loss is required. Please retain all packaging material, and where possible, note damages on delivery with the courier.

7. Returns, Redelivery & Refunds

If a consignment is refused or not delivered within the prescribed delivery attempts, redelivery and storage fees may apply.

Consignments returned to the United Kingdom will incur additional charges.

8. Liability

The Whisky Barrel is not liable for delays caused by customs, carriers, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We are not responsible for incorrect or incomplete delivery information provided by the customer.

We do not provide any specific temperature controlled packaging options. Any concerns with regards to this must be raised prior to shipping. Any concerns with regards to heat damage, or similar, at destination are outwith our control and at the cardholder's risk.
