This North Port-Brechin 40 Year Old 1976 is a magnificent Highland single malt Scotch whisky from one of Scotland’s long-lost distilleries. Distilled in 1976 and matured in a single hogshead cask #3887, it was bottled at natural cask strength in February 2017 by Signatory Vintage for their prestigious Cask Strength Rare Reserve Collection. Just 194 individually numbered bottles were produced, making this an exceptionally rare and historic release.

Nose A rich bouquet of polished oak, honeycomb, and dried orchard fruits, lifted by hints of waxed leather, cedar, and heather smoke. Palate Silky and complex, revealing layers of golden syrup, dried figs, and lemon zest, with evolving notes of nutmeg, old books, and spearmint. Finish Exceptionally long, with a refined echo of spiced wood, dried herbs, and a warming wisp of smoky malt.
