Matured in refill American oak hogsheads and refill European oak butts, this expression delivers a more spirit-led profile, allowing Lagavulin’s signature peat smoke, maritime influence, and rich malt character to take centre stage. The refill casks contribute subtle layers of oak, spice, and gentle sweetness, creating a beautifully balanced and expressive whisky.

Lagavulin
Lagavulin Distillery, founded in 1816 by John Johnston on the rugged south coast of the Isle of Islay, is celebrated for producing superbly balanced peated single malt Scotch whisky. Originally adjacent to the now-lost Malt Mill Distillery (1908-1960s), Lagavulin retains part of its historic buildings. Equipped with four traditional stills, the distillery crafts iconic expressions like the renowned Lagavulin 16 Year Old and the exclusive Distillers Edition. Each year, a limited single cask bottling is released for Feis Ile, the prestigious Islay Festival of Malt and Music, reinforcing Lagavulin’s status as a premier Islay whisky producer.
