찰스 C. 도이그가 설계하고 1897년에 설립된 스페이번 증류소는 드럼 몰팅 설비를 최초로 설치한 몰트 위스키 증류소라는 명성을 자랑하며, 당시의 설비는 스코틀랜드에서 유일하게 남아 있는 원형 그대로의 모습을 간직하고 있습니다. 스페이사이드 중심부에 위치한 스페이번 증류소는 전통적인 웜 튜브에 연결된 두 개의 스피릿 스틸을 포함한 세 개의 증류기를 사용하여 특유의 풍미를 만들어냅니다. 증류소에는 숙성을 위한 던니지 창고가 있으며, 오래된 가마터 위에는 상징적인 파고다 지붕이 그대로 보존되어 있습니다. 부드럽고 마시기 편한 풍미로 유명한 스페이번 10년산은 꾸준히 사랑받는 대표 제품입니다.
