The Rosebank 22 Year Old 1992 is a rare and elegant Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled by Hunter Laing & Co. for their prestigious Old & Rare Platinum series. Distilled in 1992 at the iconic and now-closed Rosebank Distillery, this release was matured for over two decades in a single refill hogshead, before being bottled in 2014 at natural cask strength. With only 136 bottles, it is an exceptional and highly collectible example of Rosebank’s legendary triple-distilled style—delicate, floral, and refined.

1840년 제임스 랭킨이 설립한 유명한 로즈뱅크 증류소는 포스-클라이드 운하와 유니언 운하가 만나는 지점인 폴커크에 전략적으로 자리 잡고 있어 유통망을 강화했습니다. 초기에는 세 개의 구리 증류기와 둥근 나무 웜 튜브를 갖추고 로우랜드 위스키 특유의 풍미를 지닌 트리플 증류 몰트 위스키 생산에 주력했습니다. 역사 기록에 따르면 로즈뱅크 증류소는 1798년에 이미 존재했으며, 1817년부터 1819년까지 제임스 로버트슨이 스털링셔에서 로즈뱅크 증류소를 운영했지만 정확한 위치는 불분명합니다. 로즈뱅크는 1993년 폐쇄될 때까지 번성했으나, 이후 많은 역사적인 건물들이 철거되면서 로우랜드 몰트 위스키 증류소로서의 역사는 영원히 사라졌습니다. 하지만 로즈뱅크 증류소는 2024년 6월 재개장을 통해 과거의 명성을 되찾고, 전통적인 장인 정신과 탁월한 3회 증류 몰트 위스키를 다시금 선보이며 위스키 애호가들에게 새로운 역사를 선사할 예정입니다. 이번 재개장은 스코틀랜드의 풍부한 위스키 유산을 보존하는 데 중요한 이정표가 될 것이며, 로즈뱅크 증류소가 전 세계 위스키 애호가와 수집가들 사이에서 변함없이 사랑받는 이름으로 남을 수 있도록 할 것입니다.
