Linkwood 1969 Vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Matured in a refill American hogshead and bottled 2009 by Gordon & MacPhail.

Linkwood

Linkwood Distillery was established in 1821 by Peter Brown in the Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. Linkwood Distillery is a malt whisky distillery equipped with six stills and whilst a large percentage of Linkwood whisky flows into blends of scotch an increasing volume is appearing as single malt whisky and there are some excellent independent releases of Linkwood single malt whisky. Linkwood Distillery participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Nose: Fresh fruit and herbal influences initially, mint and watermelon. A hint of bees wax lingers.

Taste: Cracked black pepper with ripe banana, vanilla and a subtle cigar ash edge.
