John Birnie and James Mackinlay commissioned Charles C. Doig to design Glen Mhor Distillery which was found in 1892 and constructed at Muirton Basin in Inverness. Glen Mhor Distillery was a Scottish Highland malt whisky distillery equipped with two stills and one of the pioneering distilleries to release single malt whisky back in the 1960s. Closed in 1983, dismantled in 1986, demolished 1988 and now one of Scotland’s lost malt whisky distilleries.

존 버니와 제임스 매킨레이의 의뢰로 유명 건축가 찰스 C. 도이그가 설계한 글렌 모어 증류소는 1892년 스코틀랜드의 명성 높은 하이랜드 위스키 산지인 인버네스의 칼레도니안 운하변 뮤어턴 분지에 설립되었습니다. 하이랜드 몰트 위스키의 선구자였던 글렌 모어는 두 개의 증류기를 갖추고 1960년대에 싱글 몰트 위스키를 출시한 최초의 증류소 중 하나가 되었습니다. 위스키 산업에 혁신적인 공헌을 했음에도 불구하고, 이 증류소는 1983년에 문을 닫고 1986년에 해체되었으며, 결국 1988년에 철거되어 스코틀랜드의 사라진 몰트 위스키 증류소 중 하나로 남게 되었습니다. 오늘날 남아 있는 글렌 모어 위스키는 매우 귀하게 여겨지며, 특히 고든 앤 맥페일의 희귀한 독립 병입 제품은 전 세계 위스키 애호가와 수집가들 사이에서 수집 가치가 높은 아이템으로 자리매김했습니다.
