Dufftown 2004 vintage Speyside single malt Scotch whisky. Matured in Refill Bourbon Barrels and bottled 2014 by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice range.

Dufftown Distillery was established in 1895 on the site of Pittyvaich corn mill on the Dullan Water just to the south of Dufftown and in the heart of Scotland’s Speyside whisky region. Despite a cramped situation Dufftown Distillery’s six stills produce around six million litres of alcohol per year making it a top ten Scottish malt distillery in terms of output. Very little emerges as single malt since most flows into Bell’s blends. Dufftown Distillery participates in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

Nose: Sweet vanilla and toasted malt aromas. Fruit elements develop with hints of kiwi, lime and pear.

Taste: The palate is sweet with a subtle spiciness. Strawberry and orange flavours develop with a creamy milk chocolate edge.
