Dalmore Alexander Mathieson established Dalmore Distillery in 1839 on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth near Alness in Scotland’s Highland whisky region. Dalmore stills are unique, the wash stills have flat tops and water jackets encircle the necks of the four spirit stills. Visitors are welcomed at Dalmore malt whisky Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available. A participant in the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

1839년 알렉산더 매티슨이 스코틀랜드 하이랜드 위스키 산지의 상징으로 자리 잡은 달모어 증류소는 알네스 인근 크로마티 만 북쪽 해안에 설립되었습니다. 1886년, 저명한 위스키 작가 알프레드 바너드는 달모어 증류소의 증류 설비가 4개였으며, 1966년에 8개로 두 배가 되었다고 기록했습니다. 독특한 증류기 설계로 유명한 달모어의 워시 스틸은 평평한 상단을 특징으로 하며, 4개의 스피릿 스틸은 목 부분을 워터 재킷으로 감싸고 있어 증류소 특유의 풍미를 만들어냅니다. 달모어의 공식 라인업인 12년산, 15년산, 18년산은 높은 인기를 자랑하지만, 독립 병입업체들도 가끔씩 싱글 캐스크 제품을 출시하여 전 세계 애호가들이 달모어 싱글 몰트 스카치 위스키의 특별한 매력을 경험할 수 있도록 하고 있습니다.
