This historic mission was the first of the advanced “J” missions, enabling greater lunar exploration and famously returning the ancient Genesis Rock to Earth.

To honour this extraordinary achievement, this whisky was distilled in 2008 and matured for 12 years in a single Oloroso sherry hogshead sourced from Bodega Fernando de Castilla. Bottled in February 2021, just 262 individually numbered bottles were released, making this a rare and highly collectible expression, exclusive to The Whisky Barrel.
