Glen Garioch Distillery

Glen Garioch Distillery, established around 1785, stands among Scotland’s oldest working distilleries and is located in Oldmeldrum, part of the Highland whisky region. Currently operating with two stills, it once relied on traditional floor maltings—in use until 1993—giving older releases a subtle smoky note. Today, the core Glen Garioch range features the well-known 12 Year Old, while independent bottlers such as Cadenhead’s and Old Malt Cask occasionally present special single malt expressions.
