Glenlivet Distillery, founded by George Smith in 1859 after outgrowing his original distillery at Upper Drumin, was established at Minore just upstream of the River Livet in Scotland’s prestigious Speyside whisky region. In the 1850s, the Edinburgh-based firm Andrew Usher revolutionized whisky production by creating the first vatting of malt whisky from a single distillery, blending various vintages of Glenlivet whisky and setting new standards for modern whisky blending techniques. Following a major expansion in 2010, Glenlivet Distillery now features an impressive fourteen stills, making it one of the largest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. Renowned for its exceptional single malts, Glenlivet offers a diverse range including the beloved Glenlivet Founders Reserve and the sophisticated Nadurra, each celebrated for their superior quality and distinctive flavor profiles.
