Tasting Notes

Nose: Layers of dried apricot, fig conserve and orange-peel marmalade drift over antique oak polish, soft leather, pipe tobacco and a hint of beeswax. Palate: Velvet waves of treacle toffee, walnut cake and ripe peach coat the tongue, followed by espresso crema, sandalwood spice and a bright flash of candied citrus. Finish: Long, warming and gracefully dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, supple oak tannin, gingerbread spice and a final whisper of vanilla-malt sweetness.
Savour half a century of Speyside heritage with Glenfiddich 50 Year Old – 1964 Legends Collection (Hart Brothers, Cask #10796). Distilled in the summer of 1964 and slumbering undisturbed for five decades in a solitary American-oak hogshead, this venerable spirit was drawn at natural cask strength and bottled in October 2014 for Hart Brothers’ ultra-rare Legends Collection. Just 67 individually numbered bottles emerged, revealing Glenfiddich’s trademark orchard-fruit elegance transformed by decades of quiet maturation into a tapestry of antique oak, dark honey and subtle rancio complexity.

Why We Think You’ll Love It

  • Half-century single-cask pedigree: 50 years in American oak deliver unparalleled depth, silk and complexity.

  • Bottled at natural cask strength (non-chill-filtered, natural colour) to preserve the whisky’s full body, aroma and deep mahogany hue.

  • Curated for Hart Brothers’ elite Legends Collection—strictly 67 bottles, placing it among the rarest Glenfiddich releases ever made available to the public.

  • A crown-jewel for collectors and connoisseurs seeking an authentic taste of Glenfiddich’s 1960s golden era, elevated by half a century of dunnage-warehouse tranquility.

Raise a glass to Speyside history with this once-in-a-lifetime Glenfiddich—where orchard-fruit grace, polished oak and time-wrought elegance converge in every luxurious sip.
