Palate: Velvet waves of treacle toffee, walnut cake and ripe peach coat the tongue, followed by espresso crema, sandalwood spice and a bright flash of candied citrus. Finish: Long, warming and gracefully dry—lingering sherry-soaked fruitcake, supple oak tannin, gingerbread spice and a final whisper of vanilla-malt sweetness.
