Tomatin 12 Year Old Cuatro Fino

Tomatin 12 Year Old Cuatro Fino finish Highland single malt Scotch whisky. Cuatro is a series of four unique limited expressions of Tomatin - each double matured in different types sherry casks. Limited release of 1,500 bottles. Tomatin Tomatin malt whisky distillery was established in 1897 and operated with two stills until 1956 after which there were frequent and numerous additions culminating in 23 stills in 1986 making Tomatin the largest distillery in Scotland at that time. However, eleven were subsequently closed and it is currently operating with twelve. Tomatin Distillery is a Scottish Highland distillery situated close to the Cairngorms National Park and sitting at an altitude of 315m it is the third highest distillery in Scotland. Great importance is placed on the quality of its casks and Tomatin Distillery is one of very few Scottish distilleries to continue to operate a cooperage and to employ a cooper on site. Visitors are welcomed at the Tomatin Distillery visitor centre where distillery tours are available.  Nose: Green apples with a citrus burst of orange and lime. Pear, sweet nuts and coconut, custard and marzipan. Palate: Savoury and spicy on the palate with a zesty bitterness. Finish: Light and subtle.
